Have you seen Oscar?
WHITE TIP REEF SHARK
Triaenodon obesus
OSCAR was supplied by Cairns Marine Aquarium Fish, Australia’s only licensed supplier of marine species to Zoos and public aquaria around the world and is housed according to all rules for Exhibited Animals, Fisheries, RSPCA, veterinary and marine biologists advice.
Specially selected for suitability by our aquarium consultants, oZsea Aquaculture Systems. “OSCAR” is fed a special diet of squid and other prescribed ingredients by our curator in conjunction with oZsea.
This type of shark is mainly active at night and rests frequently during the day, sometimes in very unusual positions – he is not sick – just sleeping.
Reef sharks are very docile and adapt very well to captivity requiring only a small area for their personal territory, they eat well and develop a personal interest in their environment and aquarist handler.
